Taeyang is the new honorary ambassador of PyeongChang 2018 winter Olympics games. Taeyang is planning to release a special song for PyeongChang 2018 winter Olympic and Paralympic games. Korean pop star during the event named as "Honorary Cultural Ambassador."
Chairman of the PyeongChang 2018 winter Olympic and Paralympic games organizing commented, "I believe that his status as an amazing artist, will help him promote PyeongChang Olympics globally."
Taeyang also commented, "I have learned that music is able to unite, countries of different cultures and languages. I hope many people will be able to express their dreams and passions through the PyeongChang 2018 winter Olympic and Paralympic games"
The theme of PyeongChang 2018 winter Olympic and Paralympic games is "Passion. Connected."
